We had a foggy night, so I thought I had to try something to make use of it. I put my wireless flash behind me and to my left to try and outline my upper body. I wish I could have gotten it to work directly behind mefor a total sihlouette, but the wireless flash wouldn't fire since it couldn't see the on-camera flash. The knife was added for drama's sake. Comments welcome.

Remind me not to pi$$ you off...lol....
very creative and well done
PS...If you could clone out the white part behind you, it would be more effective...just a thought.

I love this picture but I think something is not right. The creativity is definitely a winner. If you don't mind I tried something else but I wonder if is is an improvement. Regards. Jaki.

I like the shot and the idea - a good way to pass a foggy night, I say! I think it might have worked a little better with the camera further away from you and the car, or possibly with the camera down closer to the ground to give a more menacing perspective.

Not sure how that would do with the wireless flash, though?

Best,

-Ben

Thanks for the replies everyone. I do like the edit with the blue tone to it, makes it feel cold and creepy. I took about 40 shots at the end of the driveway last night trying to get one that looked like what I wanted. Didn't quite get there but this was the closest. My one neighbor who saw me probably thinks I'm crazy now :-)

Great Idea, I'm with Obsidian on this one, a little more distance from the headlights, and have the camera set lower to shoot up at you...may look more menacing. I would lose the knife though, or get a really BIG one. LOL

i think maybe just a little more rimlighting to get a better appreciation for the outline woudl work a little better.. not sure the headlights were needed here.. i would pick maybe a different background, possibly an old light pole in an abandoned or rural area??
