Hi Mike,

Nice capture. I think the textures in that birds feathers deserves a tighter crop. For the existing crop... straighten the horizon and maybe darken the paddle so it doesn't pull away from the bird. Nice job

i didn't even notice the paddle, thanks for pointin that out. i straightened the horizon a lot from the original photo and it looked ok to me but i guess that was just because the original horizon was at a horrible angle.

Not sure if you use Photoshop but it has a measuring tool. Great for calculating that angle of rotation needed to correct horizon.

i use photoshop CS, where's the measure tool? i know of the grid tools but not measure.

Nice photo. The detail in the feathers is excellent and tough to get from a bird in motion.
