Just bought my first digital camera and ran out to the local small town airport and took a few shots. Photos are hand held and some were taken with a 20 year old Sears lense. (That's why I stayed with Pentax) I had a Pentax SLR but have not used it in a long time. Thanks for any feedback.

First pic was taken with kit lense I think. The last two with sears 80-200.

Welcome!

You seem to have a natural eye for a good photo. The first and second are my favourites.

The first because of the composition with the airplane nicely on a third, though I'd like to see a little bit more of the ground/trees and a tiny bit less sky - I think that would give the image even more balance.

The second, the sunset patterns are just great, and the brightest part of the sky is nicely placed on a third.

As good a first post as I ever saw!

Best,

-Ben

some nice shots you have there.

shot 1 i nice but yea i think ther is too much sky involved. if this is croped maybe show a litle more land or even try a wider crop by taking out some of tht sky and brining the plane to the 2/3rd vertical line.

Shot 2 is very nicely done. i like the saturation and i like the exposure also

shot 3 is nicely composed also

ken

ohh yea welcome to the forums
