Hi all,

Another macro shot, I'm afraid

Was going for the oil painting effect on this one.

PP has been a crop, a bit of cloning (of scratches on the glass - perhaps not enough?), a levels edit and some mild sharpening.

Best,

-Ben

Same image, with a bit of saturation boost. I'm on a laptop here, so the monitor's not so hot. Which is preferable?

Best,

I like the saturation boost. On my screen it seems to be very subtle. Perhaps a bit more would even work.

Anyone else have an opinion on this? I sure would appreciate it!

Nice colours, interesting, but a little uninspiring. Might be fun to use as part of a montage or a series, but alone, I'm afraid it comes up short.

I think it is an excellent image. I think it looks just fine as it is. I also agree that it would look great as a themed series. This one is a sucess, move on and take a load more for this series and post 'em here quick.

RedRhino, Syd, Crosshair.

Thanks for your comments . Before them I'd been going back and forth between 'meh, it's rubbish', to 'ooh, i really like the texture in this'. I think it depends what mood I'm in at the time. I can either find it calming or boring.

Thanks again!

I agree with the suggestion to make this part of a series. It's well done, but not overly interesting on its own.
