Below are a couple unedited images that I took on my first outing with my Rebel XT. Anyone have any ideas about how to make them interesting (if possible)?

In this shot I was annoyed with the lampposts and railing but I couldn't find a better position that would let me get the whole building.

Hey Justin

I think that it can be interesting just picking out an odd feature of a building and concentrating on that, it can create quite an abstract image.

With regard your second shot, consider capturing just a corner or edge of the building and try to frame it against a nice blue sky, the contrast between the red brick work and the sky could look pretty smart, especially if yo have a polarising filter to bring out the blue.

Hope this helps!
