hi steve these are nice exposure shots, what i would do is slow the shutter speed down a little so as to get a little blur in the shot, to get that sence of movement.

Or if your struggling getting the shutter speed's right then i would suggest watching slower, more mundane rugby matches as they would be easier to capture.....try watching England at the moment, but be warned their is a chance you may fall asleep...!:G

Thanks Guys,

Alex - funnily enough I've had no troublemanaging a blurred effect ....... but it's been suggested here that I might try to capture the ball in focus a bit more :G

Longsideyou took what was going to be my quip right out of my mouth .... but don't worry, our 'Super 14' sides are hardly 'stay awake' material either, at the moment

Steve, you just keep getting better with these action shots. The second shot looks just a touch oversaturated. Great shots.

Hey Scot, haven't really been away just been a bit busy these past few days. Thanks for the comments - they were shot in single frame. I find the 'burst mode' of the 9500has a lot in common with a pump-action shotgun:G

Thanks Syd, also thought the second was a bit overdone. How's the casting going?:?

Good color, and nice capture. In the first shot the looks on the faces are almost one of shock...recognizing that football. As in "geez...man!!!! There it is again...! One of us has to grab it and get murdered, Y O U grab it! I got mangled last time!!" A lot of air gets processed by the lungs in this game. Second shot is good too, but my favotite is the first. Man, the size of the thighs on that one guy would put a horse to shame. Well done...
