Took this of my son the other evening, looking into the sunset. The colouring though appearing exaggerated, is exactly as it was. Any comments on the shot?

As you note, the colors look artificial. I imagine that this could make an interesting portrait ifthe colorswere posterized, so that the resultant image would appear to be a more cartoon-like illustration.That sort of treatmentwould bring the colors back into line with our expectations. Of course, many folks would argue that it is exactly thechromatic dislocationthat makes the shot interesting. So, ultimately, I guess it boils down to what you're trying to achieve with the photo.

Nice shot indeed Steve. I just love those red skied balmy evenings. This pic portrays that time of day well.

Thanks guys - wasn't sure about this, but as Syd says, it was a balmy evening and the sunset a deep dusty orange, with no cloud.

Scot he actually gets the looks from me - along with a very athletic build, charming manner and supremely quick wit (OK your right, they come from his mother:G)
