Just bought a D50, newbie to using a DSLR. Any suggestions and comments are very welcome.

first of all, welcome to steve's forums! i'm sure you will find your time here informative

and insightful.

now the shot. unfortunatly, your subject has lost it's body! poor thing!!:-)

now, i get the idea that you wanted something different. not necesssarily abstract,

but different.

the out of focus (oof) rail in the foregroud is rather distracting. most of the shot is in

focus, so having that little bit might as well be your finger. plus, it is blocking most of

the subjuct from view.

now, if you want a different angle of your dog, get down on his level and shoot

a lot of shots at as many angles possible. pick your favorite and lets see what you

can come up with.

Thanks for the info, new to this but i am willing to learn and take comments and put them to use. This forum is great and I have learned a lot so far. Thanks again. I see all of your points, i thought it was kinda different lookly shot, but would look better probably with your suggestions.
