I'll be the first one in line to admit that I had that thought. I thought to myself, now how'd he do that in Photoshop. You got me.

I was in town today and a florist was selling red & blue roses. Firstly, I came over all Juliesesque and wanted to buy one and take it home to photograph. But when I asked if they werenaturally blue, the florist told me they were dyed. I made my excuses and left.

Apart from the fact its blue...? Its soft and has been done a thousand times before.

Thats no real matter if your trying your hand at floral macro photography all the same.

Anyway sorry this doesn't work for me.

Of course it doesn't!

And do I care for your opinion?

The second is more interesting. At the very least has an original element to it.

Playing with photoshop a bit Syd?

What were you going after. What were your thoughts about the final results. Give us some help.

No photoshopping in the second shot other than a resize down. Thanks for your incredible discernment and knwledgable powers of observation here.

I thought a blue rose was unusual, inasmuch as I hadn't personally seen one before. Yes it's been done a million times before and would be easy to convert a red rose to blue in PS. But no pp other than a little usm.

But you obviously guessed that I thought the blue rose unusual and it suits your persona to say it's not.

Gettinga bit personal.

Anyway, I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this. I gave a quick gut feeling on the shot. Which is generally what will judge a photograph.

Thanks for expanding a bit. It helps.

How much time do you expect one to spend when there are so many posted daily. Or are you too just looking for praise as you have said I look for. Syd I maybe post a photograph twice in a month. I spend a lot of time on them. Taking processing and the such.

I;m glad you enjoy the forum... you have made it your own. However it is about critique. Lets keep the personals aside... ?

Relax.

I'm chilled Lboy.

I don't really want to raise the purpose of forum issue. When such things happen as has happenned with Jaki recently being mugged at gun point, I believe it's nice to give some support and offer some freindship. Or on other occasions when friendly banter can lift spirits. I think the freindly family element has made the forum something more than pure clinical critiquing.
