High Key ?

Sometimes referred to as life-style images, the neutral background keeps your eye on the subject. Simple

No reason why you cant boost the contrast though.

Alex, sure your photograph is high key. At least your adaption on it. All Alex is saying is that high key is not defined as the object fading into the background.

Sure sometimes the features merge with the background, it depend on your composition.

If you decide tofade you photograph with the background. Thats up to you. There are no rules.
