Hello folks,

Attached is one of the photos I took at the Sea Festival held at our hometown, Vungtau last week. The originial version ishorizontal (lanscape)which means there areunnecessary space at the left and right of the frame. I re-cropped this one square to cut off the redundant aspeople suggested.

Thank you for your viewing and comments.

Regards,

Quan

P/S: Shot taken with Canon EOS 20D, telephoto lens EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, Av mode, ISO 400, f/2.8, shutter speed 1/125s, hand-held.

I think you have here a great shot. I love the DOF and that background. goog work (good crop too)!!
My only critique is that light coming from the bottom right corner is a bit distracting... you can clone it out easily.

Quan, you don't post that often, but when you do they are well worth the wait.

I don't have any criticism with this at all. Everything seems just right.

Hi,

The only thing that I am not all too keen on is the crop at the bottom - the harsh cut across the hand ... I would have maybe backed out a little to keep all of the hand and the arm in shot and cropped lower onthe waist?

But the model's skin tone and saturation look great! Nice angle and pose and nice uncluttered background. Very

It's a very good shot as usual.

On my monitor there are bits that look a little hot but not blown so a print will probably be fine. Perhaps worth dodging a little bit to tone down some of the brightest reflection on the umbrella??

I agree about the hand, it's not exactly a crop at the joint, but it comes close enough to be a little unsettling. I see from the aspect ratio that you've cropped the photo - do you have a little bit more at the bottom?

Just enough to provide a continuous line might help.

2 small nitpicks of a very good shot.

Quan, I don't feel qualified really to comment on this type of shot but one thing I can say is that I found it very striking. Very nice colour and tone and a very professional feel about it (IMO).

I'm with Syd and Steve on this - everything you do seems to be out of the top drawer. Very well done.
