Can any tell me how to fix this? The rock that the bird is perched on is way blown out but was necessary for me to capture the picture. I can clone it out but I'd rather not. I can crop it out but I'd rather not to that either. Is there another way? I am using Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Thank you.

It's a nice capture, Jim, and I've yet to get a decent Heron shot.* Here's my feeble fix. It's a simple "magic wand" around the blown out rock, copy to new layer, move it over all rock, copy again but this time from the background (rock) layer, paste it and move it to cover the blown out rock.* Covered the purple fringing, and cropped just slightly. Might fool some of the people some of the time...*

Thanks Scotious,

No feeble attempt to me. I like your fix. I am attempting to follow your instructions but I am doing something wrong. I'll try more.

Thanks again.

That's a great fix Scotious and thanks for the step by step - going to give it a bash on a similar problem I've got.

Scotius, that's really well done, and thanks for the lesson too. Appreciate it much.

Hey, you're very welcome.* I kind of left out the step where you delete the blown out rock layer that you've created, but I guessed y'all would figger that out.**
