Hey ollie,
Frankly I somehow always had the idea tht I took tht pic from somewhere near the rocks....(the one where the harbour bridge appears bigger).forgive me, I'm from Melbourne and only stayed there for 4 days..haha..I've got a couple other pics...still waiting to be ps-ed...you can check collimation.blogspot.com out if ur interested..thanks again..
jst my opinion...I was actually quite fond of the pic #2 personally..

If memory serves me correctly then you're right, Crosshair - it does look like the Rocks.

G'day,

yup that be The Rocks. George St start right down the bottom around near Millers Point which is on the left hand side of the Bridge. By the looks of the angle of the Bridge however it isn't that far down to the start of it, but fairly close, and considering the next street up has well buildings in the way of the shot at one end of the street I figured it must be George St.

Anyway the second shot is great but I think maybe more of the sails would have been nice and maybe even a dash of blue saturation, but only a hint.

Hi Jules, Like most here I like the first pic best too. The strong grain in the sky may contribute to the "atmosphere" as Syd says, but have you tried running a noise reduction filter through the sky to see what difference a smother sky would make?
