The silhouette seems a bit fuzzy to me, the colors are awesome the 2nd shot is even more cooler but the silhouette is fuzzy.

Well done Steve, you definitely have some great sunsets in your part of the world.

I like both pictures immensely. Just for my two cents worth, have you got any shots that incorporate the enhanced rays (in the second pic) but still retain the detail of the sun in the first pic.

Cheers

Not sure Shadow - I haven't re-visited the pics since I shot them (about 10). I'll have a squize and see if there is anything else worthwhile. thanks for the comments.

How's your camera performing now? Really liked the surf 'n rocks shot.

The focus system seems to be working better I have not actually tried any RAW pics as yet. So when I do I will get a better idea of how things are.

Pics still seems a little soft. Even with the "driftwood pic" the foremost portion of the driftwood looks soft and I focus on it with an aperature of f11. So it seems to lack DOF in the forground or it is the mysterious altered focus site the some camera have exhibited.

Truth to tell, I don't care anymore. I will spend the time in PS to fixed what I can and buy a dSLR at a later stage. I will use this eventually as a back upbut in the meantime I willreaquaint myself with the world of photography.

I am hoping to be able to retire from being a medic and take up two other jobs that will give me more time with my kids in the next couple of years. Those two jobs being photography and a personal fitness trainer. (keeping my fingers crossed)

Hi,

Love the colours on these.. not sure about the edit maybe I prefer the original. I think your horizon is a shade off - maybe half to 1 degree to the counter-clockwise?

Nice though...

This is about the best I could come up with Shadow - don't know if this is an improvement or not.

Hope you don't mind Steve I tried and edit and recrop. I used the enhanced rays in you last post with the sun (overlaid) from the first post. And for some reason unknown to me I cropped the top portion off.

I still think they are great pics. I have been away from the computer so long I felt the need to fiddle.

Cheers
