If you knew anything at all, you would have mentioned thewash out from flash on the metal or the harsh lighting. Ignorant.
I am left wondering why this guy has even asked for critique - he seems to be an expert himself!

Mike I would not even grace this thread with any more responses - it's clear any offer of advice will be wasted - however...

.. Kevin seeing as you have asked for critique I personally think it is a well executed shot - I find manual focus quite tricky and you have shown good skill here. I do feel however like Mike that you could lose some of the dead space to the right of the image.

Regards,
Dom

you guys don't get it. It is OK for that person to do center comps but not OK for me?

End of discussion.

The other critiques Thank you much.

I will look into all of your work today.

His work is not the issue in this thread. Yours is.

Assuming you are correct and that Mike's work is full of centre-composed shots which all suffer for that very reason. So what?

If he accurately comments that your photo suffers from that then his comment is true or false regardless of his work. His ability is completely besides the point.

Perhaps his comment is because he has taken so many similar photos himself and has finally seen the light, or perhaps he is terminally unable to see the flaws in his own work. It has no bearing on whether his comment on your work is valid or not.

Read this again until you understand.
