Another great shot.

I do IMHO feel the blue is a bit overdone. (could be my monitor)

These types of shots are certainly a challenge and you have done well capturing this hawk.

I too feel the sky is a bit too saturated. Of course, the overdone version hides more of the CA on the branches.

I also feel cropping more from the left side of the frame will give this image more impact. Cloning out some of the branches wouldn't hurt either because too many really doesn't add anything to the composition. I'll post a quick edit for demonstration...I hope you do not mind.

Thanks for sharing!

Rodney

It's very blue.*I hope you don't mind, but i had a fiddle with the blue, replaced the colour with a less saturated one. It must have been a very blue sky!*Cheers -Yaz

Although a good photo I think the edited versions are much better. The over blue sky hid to much of the detail in the RT Hawk.Keep posting I like your work.

Personally I like the really blue sky. It contrasts nicely with the branches. The others seem rather faded. Also the blue contrasts with the red of the hawk to accentuate its color and make it less of a featureless brown.

I'll have to have a peek when I get home now... i don't mind it with the darker blue at all.. must have been a perfect day. It also makes the bird stand out so much more!
