What do you think? I edited out some distracting things in the background.

The background looks great. The DOF is a bit too shallow unless that was your intent. If so, then it isn't shallow enough.

I would have removed the buds near the flower because they do not add anything to the composition. Try shooting this image again with a smaller aperture(larger f/stop number) and use a tripod if possible.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about shooting with a smaller aperture. It's so hard to check DOF in the field! I'll try that next time.

agreed

dof is a bit o shallow in this case would have been nice to see all the petals in focus. Would have created a nicer cut betwee the ubject and background

colours are good and nicely exposed.

I went out and checked and found that all the flowers are gone for the year Oh well, maybe next year.
