I prefer the composition of number one, but the warmth of number two. On both of them I'd a slightly deeper dof to allow the entire petal to be nice and sharp. Especially the droplet. I'd have to vote for number one because it can be warmed and sharpened but number two doesn't do much for me. The boards leading straight back from the petal just pull me to the top of the frame.

agrred i like th comp of the first shot

colour cast looks better on the 2nd

nice use of dof

G'day,

yeah I seem to be in agreement as well. Although if you could just up the contrast or saturation a tad on the first and crop it a little on the right then I think you have a nice shot.

Thank you Ollie77, I appreciate your input. I will work on that tonight when I get home. You take good pictures yourself, and you are more adept at Photoshop than I am, from some of your pictures that you've posted and input that you've given to some of the threads here.
