G'day all,

here is another shot I took the other night. The idea was the get a contrasting view of lines and shadows. Hopefully it worked somewhat. Also I want to try and get a certain level of depth to the shot through the lines in the flooring.

Anyway tell me what you think and as usual all and any comments welcome.

Ollie

I always enjoy your photos. I love the colors on this and the way the far right flooring plank is parallel to the right frame edge and as the eye travels to the left the planks gradually become more diagonal. Very nice composition!!

I suspect that this would be a more interesting shot if the bottles weren't quite so opaque. If some of the light made it through the bottles, you would have both shadow and light transformed by the bottles. As it is, there's just not quite enough light "texture" to make for an interesting shot to my mind.

G'day,

I get what you mean by the light through the bottles, but I didn't have any of those kind. You must remember that I do not have a studio, and all my shots that are of this nature are basically spare of the moment ideas. I don't have any studio gear or lighting so I have to make do with what I can around the house and elsewhere.

But all comments taken on board.

Buddhasghost, thanks for the comments I don't mind your work either

Ollie
