Dan,

That's a really nice shot of a wasp. Very sharp, nicely exposed.

I might try cloning out the sticky spot on the window at the bottom left (though it might be a difficult clone job)

Also, the background is somewhat distracting - again, maybe make it all one colour in photoshop? Don't know whether that would still look real or not though.

Even if you can't do those two things, this is a very well executed shot.

Nice!

Best,

-Ben

Some good advise in there - I suppose if I'm relly lazy I could just smudge a lot of stuff. Thanks for the encouragement!

By the way it was a huge amount of good luck that I happened to be near that shop window and that the camera worked (it's a new camera and I have been getting a few blurred images in the process of getting used to it). Suppose if I wasn't shy of using cameras in busy places I might have taken a bit more time instead of randomly just shooting.

agreed with oBSidian, the little sticky spot is kinda annoying, and maybe a little more lighting on the underside of the Wasp..? only very minor things though.

Otherwise thats a kick ass close upshot - i like it

ciao.

Also good - suppose I could use Photoshop for that effect. I think that the sticky bit came from the sting (I disturbed it a bit I think before deciding to take a picture). But yes it's a bit gross isn't it?
