Hi all,

This past weekend, my wife and I celebrated our 20th year of being together (we were married in 1994, but I asked her to be mine in 1986) in Niagara Falls, NY. I happened to grab our Oly-740UZ, before heading out, and managed to snap off a good number of shots, at the 'Falls, this past Sunday morning. I have linked five of the photos, and will be the first to admit that these are far from being great shots. But your thoughts, opinions and advice, is asked for - and will serve to lend much toward my growth in this field. Advance thanks.

Ah, home sweet home. I grew up in a town called Lewiston just a few miles down the river from there. I know where each of these were taken and I do miss it.

I think the shots look pretty good and are composed very well. I would maybe up the saturation just a bit to bring out some of the color. When shooting the falls, the mist tends to deaden some of the color.

Hi Dave,

Yes, I am quite familiar with Lewiston (having in-laws who used to live there, and visiting them rather frequently). We live in Amherst, NY, which is no more than about a half hour from Niagara falls. Though our nearness, to one of the world's greatest wonders, means that we are afforded the opportunity to visit there as often as we'd like (and there have been many, many times that we have done just that) - the beauty and awe of this place never decreases.

I really do appreciate your words & advice on my photographic efforts, as I am truly trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks for taking the time to view my photos.
