Thank you Ollie! I appreciate your comments, the original is a pretty accurate, if anything the greens were even more dark green in reality. The sunlight passing through the trees half way down the driveway really changed the look of this scene from other photos I have taken from this same spot. One of the coolest things I notice about landscapes is how the most subtle change in conditions can make a big change in your photo. I will continue to shoot this same shot under different conditions. Here is another example taken a week earlier later in the morning with different lighting.

This is an awesome location: simple, clean lines, great dimishing perspective.

My first thought is that I envision this being the subject of a changing seasons series. You could do one shot for each season (snow on the ground, fall colors, etc.) and present them in a variety of ways. One idea is to print, mount and frame each one separately and group them together somewhere. Another idea is to combine the photos into one collage. The collage could keep each photo distinctly separated, or let the shots fade into each other. The alignments could be straightforward or more imaginative.

The same ideas could apply to different times of day, different weather conditions (rain, shade, bright sunlight, etc.) and so on.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with this place over time.

Thank you Ladyhawk! I appreciate your thoughts and ideas on this location, I love the four season grouping idea! I will post photos of this scene as the seasons change in the landscape forum.

Thanks again LH!

Your shots all look like they need a contrast boost. Use the levels comand in photoshop. pull the sides to the edges of the histogram and slide midtones till the shot has more bite and looks lifelike.

Thank you LBoy! I very much appreciate your help, I made a levels adjustment and I think it really improves the shot. If this is not what you had in mind please feel free to do any edits if you have a chance and please let me know what you did. Here is my new version.

Thanks much!

Bob
