Hey all, I took some photos of my cat today, her name is Quinn. Here is my favorite photo of her, with some ps...



PS: did my title work? P was actually supposed to be photo i guess it was too long:blah:

Wow, that close & you couldn't get both eyes in focus? I think it would make for a stronger image.......

This photo was actually taken from about 5-6 feet away, and cropped.

I was also, dissapointed to see that one of theeyes was out of focus, but what can you do?

haha, take it again... why not.

A photo like this need both eyes in focus, but you knew that right.

By keeping back and cropping, you are loosing multiple's of detail that would benefit a shot like this. The benefit is indeed in the detail so try and get closer if you can to capture the texture in the hair and the eyes.

close down the apeture to increase your depth of field to get both eyes in focus. A longer zoom with the same given apeture will decrease the DOF for a given shot. OF course this might mean you need better lighting to get this shot over using a faster apeture.

Still a pretty stunning shot. How about a little selective sharpening on the one eye?
