To my surprise, I have found out that the despised built in flash of DL is entirely up to any macro jobs. It is more handy than my regular AF360.

Gee got to do some sensor cleaning as well

Gotta hand it to you Daniel...If your into bugs, those are excellent shots...I learned something with these...I didn't know flys had that course hair on the bodies...Yea, I saw the movie "the fly" but I thought that was hollywood...
Great pictures...it must have taken you months to train those little guys to hold still...

nice shots,

If you already have the 360 flashgrab an omni bounce and a flash extension cord it made a world of difference in my Macro shots.

Were these shot wit the kit lens?

I am a minimalist when it comes to photo gears. I use AF360 regularly for indoor shots with a diy bounce card. If ceiling is not high I use bounce flash.

The only thing I can complain about the onboard flash is that it is grossly underpowered. But for shots closer than 2 ft, underpower has not been an issue at all. I may try robar's suggestion/method on 3rd effect though later on during my learning curve.

The macro shots were made with FA100 2.8 macro. Kit lens has no macro capability at all.
