Well, I must admit this sort of thing is new to me. I was asked to take some family and portrait photos. While I was busy doing this, their pet dog was lying on the carpet, and it looked so sweet. The children asked (convinced!) me to catch up a close-up photo of it.

And here it is (I did need to get down on my stomach to take this photo... thankfully the puppy was just staying still for long enough to capture this "pose" with those puppy eyes...

But as I've never done much "pet portrait" stuff before, I'd appreciate your feedback and comments. Thanks in advance.

Paul

This lovely pose surely justifies your trouble to be able to capture it, Paul. So, I'm sure you've made the children very happy. I simply set the black in Levels at the PS to have a somewhat little more contrasty image. I hope the slight difference also works for you.

Bahadir, you have done a great quick edit. Effective in both enhancing contrast and a better colour cast IMHO! Thanks!!!

Walter, thanks for the kind compliments. I'm glad to have captured a nice "first try". Maybe more later..

Thanks for looking, and all the best

Paul
