I didn't have the best selections when shooting this one, but I decided to see what I could do with it. I shot this one at 8pm because I prefer the lighting at that hour. I used the Fujifilm S602.

Hello Rodney,

I like the colors and the flower, even the way you chose the colors for the frame.

The only thing I would do if it were me is if you look at the right petal, directly above it is a green strand standing out and a space and a little more of something above that, I would just clone that out, but that is my opinon other wise I think it is avery good shot.

Nice Flower, Nice lighting, Nice frame. The only thing that I can notice is that you have some haloing around the flower, should be an easy edit in photoshop (I'm willing to bet they came from blurring the background in photoshop). The only other thing is that the background is a bit much, maybey a slight desaturation (keep it real but make the center more visible). A attached my quick edit (excuse the crappyness), just to show what I mean,

I think the halo adds to the overall effect of the picture andsoftens it and gives the image a more femine feel. The edit, as good as it was, looked a bit too harsh to me.

Its a beautiful shot Rodney, colour, lighting, framing, all fantastic.

Its one of those shots where you feel you could put your handonto the screen and touch the flower.

excellent shot rodney

i prefer your take on the editing

Lighting is fantasitc and that slight glow around the flower really sets the shot off. Beautiful colouring and composition is great. as always nicely presented and framed
