Just testing out my new lense (Pentax-M 50mm f1.7) on the way to town, very happy so far

G'day Nadnerb, (yeah I'm also an Australian),

Love the portrait, it's a very good composition IMHO!

Looks like the lens is working well for you. Pose and colouring blend well together.

The strap across her shoulder is a bit bright / hot (overexposed) but not a major disaster. You've done well! Lovely bokeh too (background blur).

Paul

Good work nadnerb. Spot on focusing and the wide aperture helps to blur the background. As pj1974 have said the strap is overexposed and this has coused some purple fringing around it. If you have shot this in row try to recover some detail in this area. If not, not much could be done. BTW PSP-X has a nice filter for removing purple fringing, I like it a lot.

Thanks for the comments.
Unfortunately, this was shot in JPG so there's not much I can do about the strap.
I didn't notice the purple fringing at first so I'll have a go at removing that as I'm definitely gonna get a print of this

Cheers.
