I'm trying to improve my composition and technique for macro shots. Any advice appreciated. Again, I'm unsure about this photo to be honest - not sure it has any focal point or will hold the viewer's interest.

Best,

-Ben

It's hard to find where to focus, or what to focus on. Seems messy in that sense.

Changing the angle you're taking might help, I'm not sure.

I think the composition is good. And I like the water drops on it.But, I think some of the details in the picture are missing or out of focus. It could be just me. Wait for others to reply.

Thankyou to you both for your comments.

Having looked again at this one and thought some more, I think I just had too shallow a DOF, or alternatively, didn't get what I wanted to in focus... Not enough focus on the centre of the flower - means all the attention is drawn to the r.h.s of the frame, because that's the only sharp part.

Back to the drawing board!

Thanks again for your help,

Best,

-Ben
