I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned from you guys simply by lurking on the forum. This is my first attempt at getting into photography even though its been a passion of mine for a long time. I'm still wet behind the ears and a novice so I'm hoping you guys will give your honest feedback. Please be critical and offer suggestions.

Looks like a candid shot , which appealed to me. Theexpression on her face and in hereyesare quite readable, revealing her personal history. In my edit I blurred the background and sharpened the subject and then pushed the contrast and channel levels sliders for the overall image. Hope you don't mind, Maths. Thanks for sharing andjust go on while considering the rule of the thirds

I sort of done the same as bahadir, your photo is quite good really, the exposure needed adjusting, check your histogram on your camera. :blah:sorry did not mean to put that in.
