I like this hot but i think that the backrounf is too dark and cluttered, thus being too distracting

A distraction in an image is an element(s) of high contrast that pull the viewer away from the intended center of interest. A dark background with some clutter in the background will not do that. The reflections on the desk are certainly examples of distractions.
