I think the left side of the photo is too busy but colorful, and then the right is simple but peaceful.

I like how it depicts how a city is complex.

The reflections on the water really add depth to this shot, and I dig the pinwheel (or star) effect around all the lamps.

Also it could benefit from less exposure.

I think if the exposure was less thereby not washing out the ''nightlights'' then it would have driven home more,the complexity the other viewer was talking about.

If the photo was handheld then the photographer did a reasonably good job of keeping it level.
