For the colours, I played with the shaddow/highlight and the levels :-)

Not sure but on the edit Boily did looks like her cheeks are blurred in motion.

I don't agree with the cropping suggestions. You might tighten it some, but it is a picture of a little girl in her wagon at a lake – not a portrait.

Some highlights are blown and there isn't anything you can do to get them back. Referring to the histogram and reducing the EV a little would have made a nicer photo. I defogged it, did some selective color and sharpened it a little.

I don't like the massive cropping either... kills the subject matter and doen't make for a nice portrait sincesome of the wagon remains. Not as concerned about lake but trimming most of the wagon loses it for me.

Wow Gemini, I really like what you did! Love the B&W with selective color. Did you do that in photoshop?

Thanks for playing with the pic.

The subject is the little girl, not the background.
On the superimposed line, pull the left frame over to the ''R'' but leave enough space; do the same with the right frame.

Nice job geminichild.
To me editing this shot is mostly about cropping. You want the subject to be the center of attention but you have to maintain balance with the subject and background. Also if it may be important to show enough of the background to identify where it was taken. And dont forget the cute factor,so include as much of the wagon as you can.
my 3 cents worth,,,,Dale
