I noticed these the other day walking on campus- many are in bloom now. When the bud come out they look like minature basketballs.

I see many pictures of flowers, what makes them good or bad?

Hi

First thing that strikes me baout htis image is tht it is under exposed. I also think the composition of the shot can be improved. Mybe play with angles. Diagonal etc.

To make a good flower shot i think its important to have good control over dof, which you have demonstrated. Good exposure to bring out all the detailos but still keep the image nice and deep. Saturation is also important as vibrant colours are always an attractive attribute of any flower shot.

I had a quick play with your shot. hope you dont mind.

Ken
