Default September 4, 2013: Cuckold's Light at Sunset

Cuckold's Light at Sunset

"This is a lighthouse off the coast of Newagen, ME as seen from Cape Harbor at sunset. The lighthouse is one of the last built in Maine and has been in operation in one form or another since 1874, providing warning of the rocky area at the entrance to Boothbay Harbor. It has been converted to solar power in recent years. Drew McEwan"

This shot was taken with the Olympus E-PL2, Panasonic DMW-MA1 adapter, and the Olympus Zuiko 14-54mm MK II @ 54mm, f5, 1/250 sec, ISO-200 with the camera sitting on a tripod.

In reading up on this lighthouse I found that it is maintained by a non-profit and contacted them and granted them rights to the photo for promotional use to benefit the non-profit, feeling it was the least I could do. Their site can be found here;

in my bag: e-m1, 7-14mm pro, 14-54mm mk ii, 50-200mm mk i, 70-300mm
in my pocket: e-pm2 lumix 12-32
