Hi,

Does anyone know the answer to these Q's?
What exactly is this counting, for example:
Number of power on cycles?
Number of print cycles?
Number of printhead clean cycles?
Or What?

Does v4.1 of the "utility - sscserve.exe" reset this as soon as it reaches the cut-off limit, and what is that limit?

1: Only Epson know for sure, and they ain't tellin'
2 --> 6: Probably all the above.
7: The SSC utility must be told to fix the waste counter setting when the indicator comes up -- it's not automatic.

The limit can vary widely from one printer to another -- I forget the exact specification in the Epson repair manual, but it's to the order of "set in the range of 20000 to 45000", which suggests it's pretty much set by guess (or how often your local service centre wants to charge you for fixing it...)
