Hello, everyone:

I am having a problem with Canon Ip6600D printer. It prints photos much darker than what is seen on the monitor screen. It also looks more yellow.

The photos are taken with a Canon 30D, with a Canon lens. Printed on a Canon printer with Canon photo paper. The ink I used are OEM, not after market.

The pictures look fine on the monitor, but when printed, it looks too dark and has a yellowish cast.

The problem appears to be photo only. On other print jobs, the colors come out normal.

I woud appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Photos on screen will generally always be brighter then printed photos unless you calibrate your monitor. It could also be other things:

What software you are using ?

Settings can have a big effect on photos.

Is the ink flowing correctly ?

Nozzle check

Printer Properties improperly set ?

Check the color settings and intensity before you print.

Also Canon printers have a print advisor which will set all the proper settings for the paper type used. It's worth a try since your using Canon photo paper.
