Hi all, I have a 20D Canon and just recently got into shooting raw more. I'm looking for a dedicated photo printer. I edit my photos so it will be hooked up to a computer. Was also wondering about the all in ones in terms of pic quality, are they any good? I'm looking for the best quality for the best price (under $500) I shoot everything from black and whiteto color. Right now i would like to start out small (4x6) but have the option to print bigger formats (13x19) Water resistantwould be nice. I'm not really picky yet since i am now only learning more. I also would appreciate maybe other posts to view orsites that could help me narrow down my choices further. Any questions please feel free to ask me. Thanks forall thegreat info i have learned thus far from this forum.

The Pro9000 is the latest and greatest from Canon, it's $500 though. You can still get the i9900 for $400 which is still a good printer although aging now.

Sadly none of the other printers Canon sell will print bigger then 8.5 x 11, they do make a IX4000 and IX5000 but they are for the Euro market and not sold in the USA.

I have and enjoy the Canon i9900 for my better printing needs. Though I am not familiar with the newer one mentioned above, it can be bought for under $500 at

Mine is outdated but still of good enough quality that I am not tempted to buy a newer model. When the time comes, it will most likely be something along the imagePROGRAF iPF5000 line though roughly $900 for a full tank replacement makes me wonder . . .
