After 21/2 years of heavy personal use, the ink pads of the R800 filled. They have been replaced. I have the utility to reset the counter but it cannot run "in the state it is in." Thanks

Check that you haven't left something loose or misaligned when re-assembling after replacing the pads.

Try running the reset utility again -- maybe turn the printer off at the wall or leave it unplugged for an hour or so first.

Uninstall the printer software -- re-install the drivers only, then try the reset utility again.

If you get it going again, consider fitting a waste ink tank so you don't have to replace the pads any more.

Do a Google search for further info -- I've no experience with the R800 so can't be relied upon.
