my iP4300 is less than 2 months old and I can't use it anymore. The CIS that I'm using was chipped with the original cartridges' chipsthat came with the printer. and now all cartridges are not recognized by the printer. I get Some ink tanks cannot be recognized error message (the printer wants me to change all the cartridges). I was able to print a nozzle check before turning it off but after turning it on the next day it won't print. I can't take it back for warranty repairs because of the CIS and I don't have an extra cartridge.

I tried cleaning the chips to no avail. Can anybody offer an advice that does not include buying a new cartridge?

help? thx

Having JUST gone through this myself, I can tell you that one new cartridge will unlock
it. You don't need the whole set.

You can also try phone cartridge refill places for the chips, they usually just charge a minimal charge. No guarantees if that will work, not sure if chip needs to read full.
