I'm looking for advice on a good quality photo printer for printing images up to 8x10 (maybe 13x19 as well). I'd like to stay around $100 or so.

Surfing around, I have narrowed the search to 2 contenders:
--- Epson Stylus Photo R280 ($79 at Epson site)
--- Canon PIXMA iP4500 ($125)

Anyone have any strong opinions/feedback on either of these models? Or, are there any ones in the same price/performance range you would suggest as alternatives?

well the Photo R280 wont print 13x19 it just does A4, isnt 13x19 a3? a3 printers are much more expensive than £100

anyway what is just as important is the paper that you use, cheap bargain store paper just doesnt do the job.

stick with branded (kodak, cannon, epson, illford etc) quality paper and genuine inks for the best results
