hello, hope some one can help me out , i have a epson R300 printer and having problems with the black ink, when i'm printing on to cds/dvds the black has fanit white lines through it, but when i print with paper its fine, have done nozzle checks, ok, printhead alignment but still no joy, any help would be good thanks.

You might want to try doing a printhead alignment on some better quality paper and see if that helps at all...

Only reason I'm suggesting this is that the printhead alignment may improve marginally over your existing paper if any discrepancies are more easily detectable by the printer... Actually I may be confusing the R300 with the Canons because IIRC the Epson requires you to do the alignment detection manually...

If so, you might want to try adjusting the alignment yourself by playing with the settings you've selected.

It may be the print density that is being used.

Check the printer setting immediately before printing — it may be on Text or Text + Image.

Either is likely to show lines on CD's, which are less absorbent than paper.
