Default Help choosing a new printer

Hello everyone!

Having recently purchased a new 4MP digital camera, I want to show off my new pictures buy printing them out 'professionally'.
I once came to the stage where I debated about getting my digital photos developed for me at a high street store; clearly defeating one of the main reasons I purchased a digicam!!!!

I clearly need a new printer; I currently own an epson stylus 600.
My friend has recommended the HP Deskjet 5550, which looks great but having done some research, the Canon i850 and the HP 7150 seem quite appealing too.

As you can guess, I dont wish to spend an absolute fortune but would like "professionally developed photos" as if developed in a store. Is this possible with the listed printers?? Am I missing quite an obvious printer???? Am I kidding myself for the amount I wish to spend (no more than 200)??

I am going to shops soon so would very much appreciate swift responses!

Many thanks in advance

For the best photos get a Canon i960 ($200 US) and next best is going to be either the Canon i860 ($149 US). I'm not how the US-Euro conversion works right now...

The HP does not look/feel like lab prints and the inks can get spendy.

I went with the Hp 7350 first but the ink is way to spendy. I investigated the cannon Line and got lucky on a purchase of an s9000 (with no box) at comp usa for $199 , normaly $299 and am very happy with the results (13x19) max prints. And ink is reasonable.

I presently have the Canon i950 and am very happy with it. I must say that the new line of HP printers are very impressive, and the picture longevity is impressive as well. The HP 7960 does a wonderful job with pictures and the ease of use makes it appealing.

If speed as well as quality is the name of the game, i960 is unparallelled.
