Default Question for Steve - R300 vs i960 in INK

Since you obviously have a good deal of experience with both printers, especially the Canons, what do you think does better on ink?

Many people have expressed R300 concerns here with ink use being "alarming." Maybe compare to your i9100 since its consumption would likely be similar in small-format prints to the i960.

Your experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Most people make those claims after going through the initial set of cartridges rather quickly. The Epson printers use up a lot of ink doing their initial "priming cycle" where they have to fill the feedlines to the printhead. The second set and future cartridges will go much further.

However, I do think that the Canon printers are a little better in terms of ink useage. I also like their see-through cartridges - there's never any question about their ink levels being low when the printer says it's time to change a cartridge.
