I read a lot in this forum about clogged print heads on Epson printers. If I don't do a lot of printing to keep these heads open, wouldn't the best bet be to purchase a HP 7350 printer where the heads are built into the replaceable cartridge?

A lot depends on how much you print. I like Epsons because the ink is readily available on the Web at great prices. HPs are excellent printers, but there are few bargains available on ink... just because the print heads are built into the print cartridge.

I print a lot and have been frustrated by plugged nozzles a few times. Epson printers don't like to sit without printing for a couple of weeks, but I rarely do that.

I have the HP 5550, the same printing engine as the 7350, and I refill my own cartridges. The cartridges are not readily available at ink refurb web sites. The printers are too new. Refill mailers are being advertised on some sites.

Epson printheads clog but not nearly as much as they once did. As long as you are using epson ink. We have printers here at work that never seem to clog. We once had to do a manual cleaning clycle at least once a day but now we rarely have to do a cleaning of any kind.
