Here is my opinion on th printer, looks are good, kinda perdym good quality & build. I got it on sale here in Canada $129.36 a huge bonus to me. After opening the box I just couldn't wait to start printing. So after reading a bit of the manual & remember a said a bit, ( more on that later) I started to install the printer to my computer & load the software yadd yadda yadda. Then I start to print some photos from the sample paper that came with the printer. All I can say is wow I was very impressed, but the pics looks like matte paper instead of the Super High Gloss, now did ya remember the part I said about I read a bit of the manual, well I put the shinny side up in the printer, but it did print ok just not on the glossy side, I flipped the 2 remaining 4x6 sheets gloss side down & whala a great high gloss pic. So all can say is this printer, Rocks BIG Time.

Gotta question now, should I have a printer profile, if I'm using Canon Photo paper plus Glossy, if so does anyone have such a animal they like to share.

:-)Yeah reading the manual is usual helpful when it tells you the gloss side goes down.

Profiles are OK if you print a 'mixed bag' like I do, I use text, graphics and pictures. With pictures it really does depend on what you are printing and on what paper and the photo's content and how you like to see them.

Just a means of setting the printer 'quick style' rather than fiddling with settings, if you find a setting you like, give it a name so that you can click on to and the settings all pre-done in future.
