I have a new R200 with the Epson ink in it. I have tried Kodak glossy paper and Epson
Photo Quality Inkjet Matte Finish Coated paper as well as regular inkjet paper. On photos of objects, the print looks fine, but every time I try to print a person's face, it is unclear and slightly to terribly blurred.

I have tried different printer settings all to no avail. Actually, the photos look best on plain paper... at least as well as you would expect a photo to look on plain paper. I have printed from Paint Shop Pro and from Irfanview. Same results. The photos I have tried were taken with a Toshiba camera 3mp saved at full and printed at 4 x 6 or smaller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's an odd one -- if it prints anything properly, it'll print everything properly...

The printer is a slave device that does pretty much what it's told, there should be no difference in clarity between a face and a picket fence.

I'd be looking more at the computer end of the chain -- maybe the graphics program settings you're using for the specific photos, or your camera settings.

You might also look if Epson have later drivers for the R200 -- they probably have.
