I'm looking for a printer that will print high quality text in digital pictures. For example, to take a picture of something with fine print on it, and have the print show up cleanly and accurately in the print. I will be doing more matte printing than gloss.

I've been looking at the R800, as it's price is about the most I'm looking to spend, and it seems to get excellent reviews. Are there any other models I should be considering?

Thanks

I was also wondering what settings work best resolution-wise when printing on the R800 and similar printers. I've read that if you set the dpi too high, the image quality of the print will actually be worse. According to the article I was reading, which is several years old, the optimum ppi (pixels per inch) for a digital image to print on a high quality photo inkjet is about 300dpi. Is it worth going higher than this now, with printers such as the R800?

Thanks
