The printers I currently own are for non photo design work and I typically print on heavy stock paper. I have a Canon Pixma 4200 which I use for small items and an HP 8250 for borderless 5x7 projects. Problem as you know is the turn radius in the HP. It handles my paper well but can be quirky. I would rather use a printer with a straight paper path but I really like quality from the Vivera inks (compared to the Canon). So I guess my question is, is there a Canon with either a straight pass through (the typical top load would be fine also but prefer a straight front-back path) that produces great color output like the HP? My Pixma is obviously an older model so I don't know if any of the wide format printers would be a consideration as well. I'm not a fan of Epson just from past experiences. Another requirement would be for the printer to have individual ink tanks.
Thanks for any suggestions!
