www.photobucket.com is another

pavaros, what are the restictions on the free accounts at Fotopic? On photobucket you're restricted to a maximum file size of 250kb. That can be a pain sometimes. You do get 2.5GB of bandwidth a month though.

On fotopic, you're restricted to "only" 250Mb of webspace, if you need more, just ask and they'll give you more. There's no file size restriction on single images as far as I know.

I've just tested fotopic by uploading a 2.38mb image and it has reduced the file size to 218KB. I can't see any loss in image qaulity though. :?:

I like www.pbase.com - they have trial accounts that give you 10MB and 30 days to explore the service. I price is $23\Year for 400MB.

If you have a gmail account at google you can sign up for Picasa Web. It is a compliment to the Picasa editing program. You don't need to use Picasa to upload photos. You get 250 MB for free and 6 GB for $25\Year.

Pbase is more full featured than Picasa Web. Pbase also will let you post full size images and they also will let you compress images once they are uploaded. I don't know about the image quality that you get with Picasa Web.

I am still not sure if i will stay with Pbase or wait another year and see how Picasa Web comes along.
