I have just installed a new canon pixma ip6600d.When i try to launch cd-label print i get a message that says "a compatible printer for printing CD media was not found". how do i get around this? i am assuming the sofware is compatible with the printer as it was bundled together. I would apprteciate any feedback. thanks

Spiak,
good job you followed the link striaght away i belive it now takes you to a different page. Anyway glad you got it working, canon UK rang me today to say that i should not have been able to get my printer working as it was not for sale on the european market but, hey thats life. As for the plastic piece i assume you removed from the front where the cd tray slides in canon tell me that i can not buy one in the UK with the small spring loaded wheels on to keep the tray in position it is not an optional extra. i think you should still be able to put the piece back on but put the tray in first then put the plastic trim back on unless of course yours has the wheels fitted then your sorted. all the best |

I didn't remove the plastic as it never existed on my printer, and the cd tray came bundled with the printer. Everything seems ok now, i just have to buy some printable cd's & dvd's. Thanks once again for your help.
regards, spiak. |

You need to download the Canon Inkjet Printer Driver Add-On Module from the Canon website: http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010237.asp. This driver add-on augments the Microsoft driver for the iP6600D.
